Raleigh Record Sprint bike

Raleigh Record Sprint

1986

This Raleigh Record Sprint was handbuilt in 1986 from Reynolds 501 tubing in Raleigh’s Nottingham factory. The Raleigh Bicycle Company, originally based in Nottingham, started manufacturing bicycles in 1887. Raleigh was always at the cutting edge of innovation. It is one of the oldest bicycle companies in the world.

A 1980’s Raleigh catalogue sells the praises of this model: “It must be the Record Sprint when you want high performance in a modern racing bike!”

This bike has been recently serviced and all parts work fine. It is in very good condition for its age. Lovely original paintwork and decals topped off with a Rolls leather saddle, classic bar tape and puncture resistant tyres. The bike rides like when it was new.
