This Raleigh Competition Mk.11 was hand built in the Carlton factory, Worksop, England in 1979. It was one of their top of the range racing bikes. Raleigh was always at the cutting edge of innovation. Raleigh started manufacturing bicycles in 1887 and is one of the oldest bicycle companies in the world.
According tot he Raleigh Catalogue of the time this model offered “exceptionally good value with superior performance.’ The Reynolds 531 double-butted frame topped off with a Brooks leather saddle and bar tape make this classic lightweight the perfect choice.
