Allin Stan Butler Special retro bicycle

Allin Stan Butler Special

1971

The Allin Stan Butler Special was the top of the range bike and was described as ‘the last word in frame design and finish’. A feature of this classic lightweight is the curly lugs.

Allin Cycles were to become a constant presence in Whitehorse Road, Croydon for the best part of eighty years.

This model is named after Stan Butler, a British cyclist who competed in the 1932 Olympics. In 1950 he won the national 24-hours time trial championship, covering 458.18 miles (19.09mph) in atrocious weather conditions to set a new British record!

With a huge range of gears and topped off with a titanium Brooks Swift saddle this is a very nice bike to ride.
