The Allin Stan Butler Special was the top of the range bike and was described as ‘the last word in frame design and finish’. A feature of this classic lightweight is the curly lugs.
Allin Cycles were to become a constant presence in Whitehorse Road, Croydon for the best part of eighty years.
This model is named after Stan Butler, a British cyclist who competed in the 1932 Olympics. In 1950 he won the national 24-hours time trial championship, covering 458.18 miles (19.09mph) in atrocious weather conditions to set a new British record!
With a huge range of gears and topped off with a titanium Brooks Swift saddle this is a very nice bike to ride.
