La Mitica is a vintage bicycle event meaning ‘The Mythical’ in honor of cycling legend Fausto Coppi.
It is designed to promote “slow” cycling, the appreciation and protection of the landscape and the quality of the food and wine of the region and riding the Fausto Coppi hills!
New for 2017 three velo retro rides as part of the Retro Rendezvous Festival – a full weekend of brilliant retro fun. It’s an event where traditional Lake District fun, friendship and amazing rides are all that matter. Choose from Le Loafeur 47km, À L’ancienne 84km, (Sunday 16th) The Mighty Corinthian 300km (Saturday 15th). The routes are supported by great food and finished with local beer and pies! Whether you’re into music, food, film, drink, vintage cars and motorcycles or simply pottering around the lovely market town of Ulverston, this event needs to make its way into your diary for 2017!

La Moserissima is a non competitive international cycle event for pre 1987 bicycles in honour of Francesco Moser and his family to celebrate cycling of the past.
